  • Bible Conference

Well, we had a great time at Bible Conference. It was a good week. It was good to see many old and new friends. There were a lot of people we didn't get to see, or if we did it wasn't for long. We were chaperoning our men from the ARC here, so they kept us busy. We had a good time with them though. I am putting some pictures on Myspace and Facebook. Hope everyone is well. God Bless!

  • Answered Prayer

Hallelujah made it home Thursday and my husband made it home Friday. Thanks to all of you for your prayers.

I spent all day Wednesday putting out fliers to get Hallelujah back, and the couple in the blue truck saw one and called. I was able to fix the spot where she got out, so hopefully this will not happen again. She was well taken care of, and back home as spoiled rotten as ever.

August finally got sent home Friday. He is a little tired and weak, but is doing well. After these last few days, with him at home, I have realized I could never be a nurse.

Thank you all again for your prayers.

  • Prayers Needed

As you can see from my title I am asking for your prayers just now. There are two specific things I ask you to pray for.

    1. My husband went in for surgery on his back last Friday. He was supposed to be in the hospital one or two days and come home. At this moment he is still there. His back is fine. However there are some other problems  keeping him there. They are not life-threatening problems, but still problems none-the-less. Please pray for healing and for encouragement as well.

    2. I returned home last night from services at the Center to find that our miniature pinscher, Hallelujah, was gone. Upon investigated one of the teenagers in the neighborhood told me that he chased her several blocks over to try to get her home. During this time a strange couple showed up and claimed that Hallelujah was there dog. When the finally managed to catch her, they loaded her in their truck and drove away. NOBODY seems to know who these people were, were they came from, or where they were going. They claimed that they lived in our neighborhood, but NOONE seems to know them. I have been an emotional basketcase since last night. I could not even sleep last night, and have been working all day (searching, hanging fliers, and questioning neighbors). For those of you that read my sisters blog as well you know that my mom and dad have been busy. Both mine and August' hearts are broken as she was our first dog together, and we love her so much. Please pray for God to move upon the hearts of this couple and that they would bring her home.

Thanks to each of you for your prayers.

    This is Hallelujah!

    We've Moved

Well, I'm sure most of you know this already. We have moved again. We are now the Assistant Administrators and Assistant Director of Special Services at the Washington, DC/Surburban MD ARC. We are enjoying it here. It is a great area. We actually live in Silver Spring, MD. It has been a good move for us. I am going to try to keep up with this blogging thing a little better, and answer those of you who comment me. I'm so bad about that. Hopefully I can keep up with that now though. Well, I hope everyone is blessed!

Here is a picture of our dogs. The min pin is Hallelujah and the Boston Terrier is Glory. We have a white manx kitten now too (named Amen), but have not gotten a picture of him yet.
